1. INTERNET IS A
PLATFORM: This is one of fact that you have to know before start any
internet business; that internet is just a platform for you to show case your products
and services. If you are selling anything offline, you can only serve people in
your immediate environment but with the power of internet you can reach the
whole world with your product and services.

2. SET YOUR GOAL:
You need to set your goal in a way that is measurable and time binding. With
this in place you will be able to check yourself as you are going in the quest
for making money online. When it comes to starting an online business; you need
challenging goals, I mean goals that will force you out of your comfort zone.
Goals can also serve as a benchmark on which you can gauge your progress or
growth. Aside serving as a benchmark; goals will help you maintain focus and boost your
productivity.
3. SELL SOMETHING:
For you to succeed beyond your own imagination you need to sell something be it
product or services. You need this in exchange for the money you want to make
online. People search the internet on daily basis for product and services to
purchase and you need to put your product or services in front of them for the
exchange of money.
4. TAKE
RESPONSIBILITY: Take responsibility of whatever that happens to you in
the quest of doing online business. You will surely make mistakes, failure may
likely comes your way, be responsible for whatever that happens to you on your
way. The success or failure of your online business is in your hand, do not
blame anybody for your failure instead re-fire and stay focus.
5. RUN AWAY FROM
SCAMS: My friend, there are some programs out there that are not worth
your precious time please for GOD sake run away from them they are big scam
though there are few with genuine intention but my advices for you is to run
away from them so as not to have yourself blame at the end of the day. DO NOT
SAY I DON’T WARN YOU OOO. These programs include paid Surveys, Paid To Read
Emails, Paid to surf, Paid to watch, Paid to Type 40 words per min or even HYIP
(high Yield Investment Programs).
6. FREE AVAILABLE
RESOURCES: All the knowledge you need is already on the Internet. You
have to take your time to research and find it. This is something I like about
internet there is nothing on this earth that you are looking that you can not
find on the internet though this might be time consuming but it really what it.
And if you can do the research you can easily
pay for an e-book or training video that delivers it to you without
wasting your time. If you buy e-books or attend seminars, you are paying to
avoid wasting your time and this can be done without any hassle.
7. YOU NEED MONEY:
Do not let anybody deceives you; you need money to start an internet business.
You need money to put some little basic things in place. To get a desktop or
laptop computer you need money. Domain name, hosting, auto responder account, driving
of traffic, software, e-books, and internet subscription all these things will
cost you money. Although the money to start online business is by far lesser
compare to the money to start offline business.
8. CREATE REAL
VALUE: Suppose I post a new article, and lots of people send me feedback
such as, “Great article, Lawal. That was awesome! Thanks for posting it.”
This simply means some people are gaining from what they
have read and by virtue of this there will be an improvement either in their
life or business. You need to create real value in anything you are promoting
either in term of product or services. People who make money online are
creating value while those who do not make money are consuming value from
others.
9. CRITICAL
PARAMETERS: I call these critical parameters because they are the core
necessary things you need to understand very well before you can start an
online business. In fact they are the pillars in which your online business
will stand on, if you miss one it will surely affect your productivity. These
include
- NICHE RESEARCH:
Identifying a profitable market. Looking for hungry market, searching for
people who are in need of your product or services.
-HAVE A MENTOR:
Look for successful people in your chosen niche so as to learn from them and
piggyback on them for quick success
-PRODUCT/SERVICE THAT
PEOPLE NEED: Don’t just offer a product/service but offer service/product
that people are eager to pay for.
-TRAFFIC: Getting
people to your offer is known as traffic. This is not just anybody but targeted
traffic i.e people who are in need of your offer.
10: STAY FOCUS AND
BE DISCIPLINE: You need to be focus with your online business because
there are a lot of things that can take you away from your real business on the
internet. BE FOCUS! Take ACTION. There is this popular saying
that it is easy to make money online though it is easy but you need to work
hard.
